Student Support Assistant
Overview & General Scope of Duties
The Student Support Assistant provides programmatic and administrative support in the daily operations of Resiliency and Community Support.
Office Management
- Answer phone calls and respond to general inquiries, directing individuals to appropriate resources;
- Manage appropriate records of communication with students, staff, faculty, and community members to support timely follow-up and resolution;
- Follow requirements for confidentiality required under Family Education Rights and Privacy (FERPA);
- Maintain current knowledge of resources, partnerships, and procedures, as they relate to RCS programs and service.
Outreach Programs
- Assist with RCS tabling events;
- Assist with campus partner radio and golf cart reservations;
Wolfpack Pick Up
- Provide back up support for Wolfpack Pick Up operations and logistics;
- Operate university-owned golf carts and phones, as needed;
- Attend all mandated Wolfpack Pick Up trainings and meetings;
Miscellaneous
- Assist RCS staff as needed;
- Other duties as assigned;
Minimum Experience & Education
Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at NC State University through the 2026-2027 academic year.

- Ability to prioritize tasks within a context of competing priorities.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive and collaborative work relationships in order to facilitate effective service.
- Demonstrated ability to independently create written communications that are error free and effectively articulate a purpose.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in verbal communication appropriate for the audience.
- Complete required training and relevant professional development opportunities.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate compassion and empathy when working with students.
Hiring Timeline
Applications are open from June 22 – July 10, 2026. Interviews will be held July 20 – 24, 2026. Hiring decisions will be sent out by the end of July.
Wolfpack Pick Up Driver(s)
Overview & General Scope of Duties
Wolfpack Pick Up (WPU) operates a fleet of golf carts to shuttle individuals from our campus community from point A to point B on Main campus. Individuals schedule their rides using our scheduling page on Acuity. Riders are transported and dropped off at their desired location.
Wolfpack Pick Up Drivers are responsible for operating golf carts to provide safe, efficient, and professional transportation services to NC State students, faculty, and staff. WPU’s work directly impacts the mobility of individuals on campus, particularly those who may face physical impairments or challenges navigating the university grounds. Specific responsibilities include:
- Attend monthly staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Operate university-owned golf carts on university property.
- Assist in the maintenance and washing of university-owned golf carts.
- Assist with events and outreach opportunities.
- Assist other WPU Drivers as needed.
- Assist RCS staff as needed.
- Attend mandatory training retreat at the beginning of each semester.
Schedule and Pay
Drivers work on average 10 hours per week Monday – Friday and are paid an hourly wage of $12/hour.
