Wolfpack Pick Up
Serving our campus community members living with disabilities and injuries on Main and Centennial campus.
About Us
Wolfpack Pick Up operates a fleet of golf carts to shuttle individuals from our campus community from point A to point B on Main and Centennial campus. Individuals schedule their rides using our scheduling page on Acuity. Riders are transported and dropped off at their desired location.
Wolfpack Pick Up was founded in 2014 under the leadership of students in collaboration with university officials. Paige Maxon, a former NC State student who had her own experience with a physical disability was inspired to implement a service for students experiencing physical impairment to better navigate NC State University’s campus. In its initial pilot operation, Wolfpack Pick Up served just over 800 rides to students. Since the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester, we have provided approximately 900 rides to the campus community. Overall, the program has provided over 20,000 rides since it’s initial inception.
This feat would not be possible without the generous private and university support. Wolfpack Pick Up recognizes especially our continued sponsors, North State Bank, the NC State University Foundation, Inc., and the Bateman family of Atlanta, Georgia for their lasting investments in ensuring our campus remains open to all.
We operate primarily on Main Campus with service on Centennial Campus on an as-needed basis.

Scheduling, Changing, and Updating Rides
Wolfpack Pick Up uses Acuity Scheduling for riders to book and manage their rides. Rides can be booked up to seven (7) days beforehand.
Rides must be scheduled six (6) hours in advance of the needed ride and cannot be cancelled within 15 minutes prior to the start of the ride. Last-minute rides depend on availability and are not given after 4pm.
No additional riders are permitted unless approved by staff in Resiliency and Community Support.
Inclement Weather
Our first priority is the safety of our drivers and riders. University staff will monitor current and predicted weather conditions in order to determine the best course of action and communicate with riders about any interruption in service. Wolfpack Pick Up will not operate during the following conditions:
- NC State University Adverse Weather Condition 1 – Reduced Operations (pending severity of weather conditions)
- NC State University Adverse Weather Condition 2 – Suspended Operations
- NC State University Adverse Weather Condition 3 – Closure
- Potentially dangerous weather conditions are imminent
- If the NC State Wolfline bus system has suspended operations
Riders are strongly encouraged to monitor their email for any communication regarding their upcoming rides.

Definitions for important terms
- Ban: all rides are deleted and rider cannot use the service for the specified ban period, beginning the day of the ban.
- No-show: failure to cancel an appointment through Acuity or send an email to wolfpackpickup@ncsu.edu at least 15 minutes before the ride time.

Timeliness and locations
- All riders are expected to be at their predetermined location at their pickup time. Drivers may text or call a rider upon their arrival in order to verify their location.
- There is a five (5) minute grace period after the scheduled time for the rider to arrive to the golf cart. After five (5) minutes, the ride will be cancelled and the driver must continue to their next appointment. It at the discretion of the driver if they wish to wait for the rider beyond the grace period.
- If a rider is significantly outside the designated location at their pickup time, the ride will be cancelled. This does not apply in situations where the rider is nearby or at another location for the same building/area.
- For example, if a rider selected Nelson Hall at Dan Allen Drive as their pickup location but is actually waiting at the Nelson Hall at Founders Drive stop. In these situations, the driver and rider can coordinate to complete the ride.
- No drop-off location changes are permitted, as all changes must be made no less than six (6) hours before the start of the ride.

- Five (5) no-shows will result in a one (1) month ban
- Three (3) tardies will result in future rides deleted and opened to other riders
- Five (5) tardies will count as one (1) no-show
Riders may send an email to wolfpackpickup@ncsu.edu to inquire on their current infractions. All past offenses will be deleted at the beginning of each semester.
